In Search of Sustaining Peace: A Case-Study of Peacebuilding in South Caucasus

The case-study on regional peacebuilding in South Caucasus presents the key findings from the GPPAC-South Caucasus informal consultation for the 2020 Review of the UN Peacebuilding Architecture held in November, 2020 with a specific focus on frozen conflicts and the role the UN can play in such contexts. The study shares experiences of local and regional peacebuilders operating in the South Caucasus and their current interactions with the UN and other regional organisations. It also provides recommendations on how the UN can further enhance its support to local and regional peacebuilding and build stronger strategic and operational partnerships between the UN and local and regional peacebuilders.

The document is published on the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) website.
