International Center on Conflict and Negotiation believes that it is vital and obligatory for the State of Georgia to provide the 2008 war-affected society with information on the tragic military-political events.

Due to the fact that all materials published by the Temporary Investigation Commission of the Georgian Parliament (a.k.a. Paata Davitaia’s Commission), studying military aggression and other actions committed by the Russian Federation against the territorial integrity of Georgia, were deleted from the official website of the Parliament of Georgia under unclear circumstances (official version is the cyber-attack), thus the wider public and the stakeholders no longer have access to these historically, legally and politically important documents and digital documentary materials.

In 2008, Stenographic Transcripts of the protocols of sessions of Davitaia's Commission were uploaded on the website of the Parliament of Georgia they were also stored in the archive of our organization at the same time.

Today, when the Geneva International Discussions (GID) stands on the agenda, there are many talks on the efficiency of this format, its possible changes, and the creation of new negotiation formats, and since The Hague International Criminal Court (ICC) is investigating the circumstances of the Russian-Georgian 2008 War, there are continuing discussions on what should be done in the future.

Therefore, we decided to meet the rising public interest and publish the Stenographic Transcripts of the Parliamentary Commission’s Sessions (in its authentic form as it was published on the website of the Parliament of Georgia in 2008) and make this information available for everyone interested.

The 2008 Stenographic Transcripts of the Sessions of the Temporary Investigation Commission of the Parliament of Georgia studying military aggression and other actions committed in 2008 by the Russian Federation against the territorial integrity of Georgia can be found here.

We do hope that publishing these materials won’t lead any attack on our website and/or organization(!).
